The Return of Nintendo

Nintendo has just redefined how we will play video games in one swift move.I'm sure that bye now everyone has seen the Revolution's "controller".I saw it a few days ago and thought Nintendo had completely lost it.But that was before I saw this video.the future of video gaming

After watching the video it became very clear to me how much this could improve and change the way we play games.Truly interactive games. All three console makers say that with the next-gen they are going to try to pull in people from all ages and walks of life, but Nintendo is the only one that will be able to do that.

The fact is that it looks just like a remote from one of your pieces of home audio/video equipment. And everybody can relate to that.I also noticed in the video it had people using the "remote/controller" in games doing everything from cooking to orchestra to dentistry. So it will also open up a whole list of new game genres as well. And with the constant plethora of same-old,same-old games we keep getting every year it will be a welcome change.

Just imagine the possibilities,a first person shooter where you hold your arm out in front of you pointing the "remote/controller" at the tv,you aim the "remote/controller" at different parts of the tv and it has the same effect as if you were aiming with a thumbstick except now your actually doing the aiming!!You could hold the little chorded thumbstick in the other hand for movement and use the "trigger" on the back of the "remote/controller" for firing.Just imagine how awesome that would be.

I keep reading that Nintendo is "getting out of Sony and Microsoft's way" but really whats happening is Nintendo is singlehandedly taking everyone into the future.Period.I'm sorry, but anyone who can't see how great this will be is smoking crack.I mean really, how long are you really willing to play the same-old games with updated graphics for their 10th sequel? The game industry was starting to enter a stale period, but Nintendo has solved that problem.

Now I see why Nintendo wasn't worried about HD resolutions and super fast processors and graphics cards, because with the direction they are taking with Revolution, none of that seems important anymore. The only reason those things are so important to everyone now and in the past is because that was all we could expect in new consoles, better graphics and faster processors. With Revoltion, all that is irrelevant.

Words cannot express how excited I am about the Revoltion.I have been waiting years for a breakthrough in video games and it has finally arrived.I say screw the PS3 and the Xbox360,I cannot wait for the Revolution!!!
