Ign is reporting that Activision Blizzard,in it's fourth quarter financial call,revealed that Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 will be coming out this holiday season.The game is,of course,being developed by series creators Infinity Ward.
The most notable thing here is that the game is being titled "Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2" and not "Call of Duty 5/6".There were some rumblings that Infinity Ward had not been happy about Activision's decision to label Treyarch's second Call of Duty game "Call of Duty 3" as opposed to a subtitle.Maybe this is Infinity Ward's way of doing their own thing.In any case I'm sure the game will sell a ton this holiday when it drops.I know I'll be picking it up.You can read the whole story on IGN here.
