Microsoft announces prices/packages on Xbox360 ,gamers rejoice/cry

for $399.99,it better come with all that extra stuff
Microsoft announced today that there would be two Xbox360's come launch day(although they still wont say exactly what day that is).According to microsoft there will be a "core system" for $299.99 that will include the Xbox360,standard AV cables, wired controller,XboxLive "silver" subscription and ethernet cable.it will not include the harddrive. The other is being called the "Xbox360 standard" by MS and comes with wireless controller,Component video(HD) cables,XboxLive headset,20gig HDD(harddrive),XboxLive "silver" subscription and the front of the DVD tray is a "metallic" silver color as opposed to Core system's,which is the same color as the rest of the system(which I like better). Also for a limited time the "standard" edition will come with a media center remote.
I think that offering two price points is a good idea personally. There will be alot of parents that otherwise might not buy a $400.00 system for little billy or Suzie this holiday season, but giving a $300.00 option will get those folks onboard.of course if you want to play yopur xbox1 games on your 360 then you will have to get the "standard",as it has the HDD that is a must for backward compatability.I will be buying the $399.99 "standard" myself as it has all the options that I want, but giving people a choice is a good choice onMicrosoft's part. You can read all about the "official"announcement here.IGN has a bunch of high-res pics of the console that you can check out here and they also have a buttload of info about the announcement and other stuff that you can check out here.there is a cool video of Peter Moore hooking up misc. devices to the 360 including the PSP and i-pod on this very site, you can check that out here. There is also a cool graphics demo video on that same page.Well thats it,im getting the "standard",which one are you getting?

you cant beat a $299.99 price point
