Come and Gone
Well now that e3 is over I can now rest knowing I know all the most
vital info until the next E3.This E3 was kinda weird. The last few years
have seen the show dominated by software. This year was the exact
opposite as it was dominated by all the new hardware.Actually that last
statement was kinda subjective when you consider the fact that Microsoft
showed the most since they had actually playable games (and alot of
them to boot)up and running,Sony had a bunch of videos but no actually
playable games & Nintendo had nothing but an empty black box.I guess
since Microsoft was gonna have their "unveiling" at this show the other
two felt they had to show something.but really,in my opinion, they didnt
show anything.Sony tried to take momentum out of Microsoft's headstart
by spending their whole press conference boasting about how the PS3 was
twice as powerful as the 360 and as it turns out they were actually just
fooling everyone with all their technological mumbojumbo. If you read this article ,this guy actually breaks down the numbers and shows that, not only is the PS3 NOT twice as powerful as the 360, it's not even AS
powerful as the 360.Yep,thats right, the Xbox360 actually outperforms
the PS3 when it comes to gaming. And when your talking about game
consoles, game performance is all that counts.Hell, the Xbox 360's GPU is
flatout more powerful than PS3's in every way.I also read on
industry.biz that the PS3 would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of
$465.00.Ouch.Maybe Sony has gotten just a little too cocky in their
numero uno spot.To be fair,I have no doubt that all three systems will
be awesome in their own right. So,needless to say,I for one cant wait for
the next generation to begin.
